Dave Pooley is the founder of Affordable Rent To Own, starting the company way back in 1994 on Tucson’s North Side. He expanded his vision in 1996 opening his second location on the South Side at 6th and Ajo Way. Our third location opened in 2005 at Broadway and Kolb on the East Side, making Affordable Rent To Own Tucson’s largest locally owned and operated furniture, appliance and electronics rent to own store.
Dave is originally from Riverside, CA but is practically a Tucson native, having spent the last 32 years here. Prior to starting the company Dave spent many years in the Golf industry as a Golf Professional and a Regional Sales Rep for a club manufacturer among other things.
Dave and his wife Nancy have 4 children. Their youngest son is a junior in High School while the two middle boys (twins) are finishing up their freshman year of college. Their Daughter Brianna was recently married and is attending college in Washington State. She also helps the company with our internet marketing etc.
Dave enjoys Mexican food and is quite the accomplished cook himself. Each month the three store compete on a variety of levels and the winning store gets lunch made for the by none other than Mr. Pooley himself!
When he’s not playing President of the company Dave still enjoys playing Golf and watching his kids play sports as well. He is an avid outdoorsman enjoying Snow Skiing, Fishing, and Hunting.
